The materialist view believes that there was a time when humans lived on earth without anything to cover their bodies. With the constantly changing and increasingly harsh weather conditions, human skin is not enough to protect them. Therefore, human clothing originated from the need to protect against the cold and cover the body with the initial styles being pieces of leather, pieces of bark, leaves, etc. The evidence is that clothing developed rapidly in regions with harsh climates (usually cold countries) and developed slowly in regions with temperate climates. Through many historical ups and downs along with cultural changes, clothing also had diverse transformations; clothing had additional functions of disguise and beautification, expressing the personality traits and spiritual appearance of people.
The origin of clothing has always been explained in different ways depending on the level of knowledge of each community in each historical period. Regardless of the viewpoint, we cannot deny that clothing plays an important role in creating a person's appearance. They reflect culture, tradition, social status and help people express their personality and style.
Traditional Eastern and Western cultures both emphasize the good relationship between humans and nature. Clothing carries spiritual connotations, creates a cultural atmosphere, and has a certain effect on the human body and mind.
